Even if Chick did slow down, which I don’t for a minute think he is, but just suppose he was slowing down, the impetus from the sum of all his previous music will carry him forward in time to a place that is so beyond the nornal reach of the average person that it will place him way into the next century. 2111 and well beyond. I feel this even falls short of what he has done for the future of music here on planet Earth.

Just got back home from RTF-4 concert @ Montreal Jazz Fest.
Chick’s 70 ? Man, I’m only 65 – can’t wait another 5 years to catch Chic’s present state of music mind or whatever you call that genius – what a leader, what a band ! Happy belated !!!

Happy belated Birth Chick. Looking forward to seeing you all in L. A. in September. I’m a longtime fan and have attended several RTF performances. I never miss them. RTF is the greatest band I’ve ever seen . Although one of the greatest songs “FLIGHT OF THE NEWBORN” never seems to make the cut at the concert. I never understood why, but one can’t have everything.
